MAKE IT NEW is the quarterly magazine of the Ezra Pound Society.
It was created by Roxana Preda in the spring of 2014 and launched together with the website of the Ezra Pound Society as a serial for scholars, students and fans of Pound's poetry.
Make It New was designed to follow the seasonal activities of the society: conferences in winter (MLA, Louisville), spring (ALA), summer (EPICs), award nominations and announcements, book publications.
It grew together with the society membership. It doubled in size from the first number to the second. It grew another 50% from the second number to the third. It is now stable at around 80-100 pages per issue.
Roxana had the valuable help of Justin Kishbaugh for the first three numbers. He recruited new contributors, edited the issues, and supported Roxana's efforts overall.
For the fourth issue - February-May 2015 - a new managing editor, Ivan Juritz, worked for the magazine. The number MIN 1.4 owed him a lot.
Beginning with June 2015, Roxana continued to work for Make It New and carry its responsibilities for management and editing. Associate editors are taking care of various sections of the magazine.
From August 2018, Mark Byron became President of the Ezra Pound Society and took over managing MIN. The first issue with him at the helm, 5.1, called for a turn towards transnational collaboration and attention to the importance of East Asia for Pound scholarship.
